UAW Rally

UAW Solidarity Picket in Rockland County

On Wednesday September 27th, the HVALF mobilized 75 union members and other activists to stand in solidarity on the picket line with striking workers from UAW Local 3039, at the Chrysler Parts Distribution Depot in Tappan NY.  The positive energy was palpable and underscored that the labor movement is having an electrifying moment. Members from CSEA, NYSUT, AFSCME, CWA, UUP, and the Teamsters came out in full force. UAW Local 3039 President Jeffrey Purcell and New York State AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento, both addressed the line with rousing speeches.

Members were eager to support their brothers and sisters at home in the Hudson Valley and we will be with them every step of the way, to hold the Big Three accountable, for their greed and callousness.
