Welcome Message from Billy Riccaldo President, Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation

Sisters and Brothers:
Having recently stepped up to serve as Acting President of the Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation, I’m writing to update you on recent news. As you may know, we have been in a transition period at the HVALF following the retirements of Ron Diaz as President and Beth Soto as Executive Director, both of whom we thank for their years of service.
Moving forward, I’m pleased that we have brought on board to our staff Sandy Oxford, someone who has been active in the HVALF through her labor activism and someone who is well-known as an advocate for people in our Hudson Valley communities.
As Sandy steps into this staff role, I have asked that she reach out to all of you to get an update on the current issues you’re facing in your Unions and determine where the HVALF might be able to be of assistance. With the many challenges we’re facing as a Labor Movement, I want to remind you the HVALF is here to assist you in a supporting role. We may face different challenges depending on the industries we represent and the work our members do, but we all know the importance of showing the Labor Movement standing together.
If you haven’t already, you will hearing from Sandy. I appreciate your cooperation in helping her get up to speed on the issues and challenges you may be facing. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out to the HVALF office at (845) 567-7760 if you are in need of immediate assistance.
Yours in Unionism,
Billy Riccaldo
President, Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation
