Jessica Treybick
Jessica was born union in Rhinebeck, NY. She has a come from a long line of union workers.
From public to private sectors her parents taught her the importance to belonging to a union.
Upon graduating from the Wappinger’s Central School District, Jessica’s union family afforded
her the opportunity to pursue her BA at SUNY/Albany. During her Senior Year in Albany,
Jessica interned for Assembly member Sam Hoyt at the Legislative Building. She met her future
husband Michael who was also interning in Albany from SUNY/Buffalo.
Jessica began her career at National Income Life Insurance Company, a 100% Union Company
and is currently with ULLICO another 100% Union Company.
Formerly of OPEIU Local 277 and now UFCW 1 for 15 years, she is a tireless advocate for
working families, and works to educate members on how to protect their families and stand with
her fellow brother and sisters with regards to workers’ rights. She stands in solidarity, living up
to her birth right; fighting for: fair pay, safe working conditions, a better health care system, and
more resources to best educate children.
Jessica prides herself in telling her three children that being in a union helps make families and
our communities stronger, especially when times are tough, and shows them, by bringing them to
rallies and protests.
Jessica continues to serve others; as Vice President of the Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation
(HVALF) and president of the Dutchess County Central Labor Council (DCCLC), as former
Treasurer and of the New York City Chapter (CLUW), active with the Town Of Poughkeepsie
Soccer Club and volunteers for the PTA at her children's elementary school.
Jessica has been welcomed by her Union brothers and sisters and stands proudly with them while
fighting for fair pay, safe working conditions, a better health care system, and more resources to
best educate our children. Union Strong!
