On August 11, union members and their allies from across the country will join together in Philadelphia to redirect the public debate in the upcoming elections toward what average Americans really need – an investment and focus on the middle class. Failed policies that have benefited only the ultra wealthy are destroying the American dream, and the foundation of a strong economy.

As part of the Workers Stand for America campaign and August 11 rally, working Americans will be asked to sign a Second Bill of Rights that sets forth principles that should guide government, business leaders, organizations and individuals in our common goal of a just and fair society. They are:

      • The Right to Full Employment and a Living Wage
      • The Right to Full Participation in the Electoral Process
      • The Right to a Voice at Work
      • The Right to a Quality Education
      • The Right to a Secure, Healthy Future

The Labor Movement throughout the country must fully mobilize and participate in this campaign if it is going to be successful. Please spread the word and encourage your members to attend!-
