32nd Constitutional Convention

The 32nd Constitutional Convention of the New York State AFL-CIO is scheduled for August 20-21, 2012 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, 811 Seventh Avenue, New York, New York. 

Convention materials have been mailed to affiliated locals.  The delegate entitlement is based upon the per capita payment to the State AFL-CIO as prescribed in the Constitution of the State Federation.

We encourage each affiliate to send delegates to this important convention. Delegates will vote on the election of state federation officers and vice presidents, as well as endorse candidates, pass resolutions and take action on other matters important to the organized labor movement in the state of New York. They will also hear from elected public officials. It is an opportunity both to learn and make your local’s voice heard.
